Mac Flashback infections make news

Sales of Mac security software have jumped since the news broke last week about a massive malware infection of Apple computers, according to application statistics and some antivirus vendors.

From BBC news, More than half a million Apple computers have been infected with the Flashback Trojan! Once the Trojan was installed it sent a message to the intruder's control server with a unique ID to identify the infected machine. By introducing the code criminals are potentially able to control the machine. As result, one can lose control of their Mac.

Symptoms:

According to some experts, Mac Flashback Malware not only install invisibly, but also exhibit no symptoms. If you are infected by this malware, you will see no change in your Mac’s activity. The only way you may see some activity is if the Flashback malware were to connect to a remote command and control server!
